u1-windows - Freezes on startup "Getting information, please wait"

I am running a Windows XP system, U1 version 4.2, and syncing across 3 computers, one running Ubuntu, one running Windows 7 and this Windows XP system.

Everything works fine with the other computers, however in this specific machine, it simply freezes when opening. It happed without any prior notice, just a couple days ago....

I have tried to uninstall, delete resgistry entries, use an older version, all suggestions here, but nothing worked.

Yes, it happens sometimes.
Did you delete following folders after uninstall:
1) C\Program Files (x86)\ubuntuone
2) C:\Users/User\AppData\Local\ubuntuone
3) C:\Users\User\AppData\Local\xdg

Delete these folders after uninstll, then install again and see if some results.

Same situation here. (Win XP SP3)

I have the same results after following the steps below:

       1. unintstalling
       2. removing files and folders
       3. cleaning registry from entries related to Ubuntu
       3. reinstalling.

I believe that Ubuntu One leaves some hidden information stored somewhere (possibly on the registry). Then, this "stored information" is causing the error.
