Bug Description

Here is the example pdf file attached and also two photos of the printed page.
I used RTL because it demonstrates better the edge that is cut off - the right edge.

This is supposed to be an A4 PDF (the file is attached so you can check).
And this is supposed to be an A4 (210x297) printout (the printer settings are that).

Blessings,
Shahar

Can you please check whether there is correctly selected A4 (and not Letter) as paper size everywhere: Select "Printers" in the Control Center/System Settings and right-click your printer's icon. Select "Properties" in the pop-up menu. Now a dialog window appears. Select "Printer Options" on the left and find "Page Size" or "Media Size" on the right. Check whether it is set to "A4". Set it to A4 if it is not.

In the application, in the print dialog make also sure that A4 is selected as page size.

If all this is OK and you have still the problem, follow the instructions of the sections "CUPS error_log" and "Capturing print job data" on https://wiki.ubuntu.com/DebuggingPrintingProblems. Thanks.

Your error_log contains

It seems that the application you have used for printing defines a custom paper size: media=Custom.272x197mm. Assuming you are printing on A4 paper, this can lead to a part of the document being cut off.

I tried printing your file from the command line on an HP inkjet printer:

lp -d printer -o media=Custom.272x197mm Test\ print\ -\ Sheet1.pdf

and got the same cut-off output as you got.

The bug is in the application. It should not supply "media=Custom.272x197mm" with the job. Please tell us from which application you have printed.

For me it looks like that your document fits only into the printable area of A4.SM and that Okular is still using strange custom page sizes. Can you print from both Okular and evince iiwth A4.SM again, check whether your result (evince works, Okular cuts) gets reproduced and post the error_log (CUPS in debug mode) for this?

This still affects Okular in 15.10 Wily.

Printing an 84 A5 page PDF duplex onto A4 every page has extended left and bottom margins, cropped right and top edges, and also scales (magnifies) the content.

Using the identical printer settings with Evince ( Document Viewer) the document prints with correct margins, no scaling, and centred on the page.
