Bug Description

Ubuntu 12.04.2 LTS 32 bit
firefox 24.0+build1-0ubuntu0.12.04.1

After automatic-update to FF 24 I can no longer access HULU. When I try to open ANY hulu web page, hulu tells me JavaScript is not enabled.

I check FF about:config and the option is set to on

FF 23 was working just fine

Also 24 had screwed up the AddOn Close All Tabs Reloaded

If there any way I can roll back to FF 23 because I can no longer watch any of my TV shows or movies thank to FF 24

Title change. Also couldn't for the life of me duplicate this issue. Javascript functions properly on an unmodified version of FF 24 on 12.04.2. Also Tested with some common addons: Firebug, Close all tabs reloaded (2.2.3), Download Statusbar, testpilot, Google Translate, EPUBReader.

Thank you for looking into this matter, however, I can faithfully
reproduce the bug as follows:

Restore entire hard disk image to Sept 13th 2013
Test FF 23, everything is fine.
Let Ubuntu install the new updates including FF 24
*The same bug re-appears**_and on more them one machine_.*

I don't know it this applies, but here are the setting in Update Manager
 > Settings > Updates Tab
Checked - Important Security Update
Checked - Recommended updates
UnChecked - Pre-release updates
Checked - Unsupported updates
These were the default settings from a clean install from 12.04.2 LTS
ISO. I always wondered about the "Checked - Unsupported updates", but
found if I unchecked them, updates frequently broke the system and would
have to do a full clean reload from the ISO.

Because these machines are also used for production, I will not install
any more updates time permits.

Thank JTL

JTL,

We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to review all reported bugs in a timely manner. You reported this bug some time ago and there have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time.

Presumably this problem was a one time occurrence and/or is no longer an issue? Can this bug report now be closed?

If we do not hear from you the bug report will close itself in approximately 60 days time.

Thank you for helping make Ubuntu better.
