Bug Description

Using the stable OTA upgrades, the messaging menu has disappeared from the phone a couple of upgrades ago. Today's upgrade has now caused the date & time indicator to disappear as well.

Surely, this should require some basic test to check the indicators are not vanishing before they are approved for upgrades.

The date & time indicator was only missing immediately after the upgrade, it seems to be present on subsequent reboots. Will see if the problem happens again on future upgrades.

(datetime) It's happened 3 times now and one of them was not following an upgrade. So, it appears to just fail to load on the occasional boot, like 1 in 10 boots or something. Race condition, maybe?

Messaging menu is still missing, this is a pretty critical bug.

I'm pretty sure this is the glib deadlock bug many people have been seeing. Please unmark the dup if you're still seeing the issue after the fix for bug #1239710 is released in an update.
