During liveCD session, X server fail to work when using 2 AMD cards (hangs on a pink screen)
I must disconnect one card to complete the installation, then add the proprietary drivers before replugging the second card.

additional inforamtions :
tried : 13.04, 13.10 alpha, beta, and daily
video cards : 2x 7850

sorry, I can't run any command.
going to TTY1 seems to work (screen fleckers, and I can reboot cleanly with ctrl+alt+del), but it's still a pink screen without login prompt.

is there a way to run ubuntu into rescue mode (like the one in the grub menu when installed) from liveusb ?

ok sorry for the delay ...
now I have 2x 7950 and this is nearly the same : on liveCD, X server fails to display properly with crossfire.
but instead of having a pink screen, this time I have a sort of unity screen, but window content and background is very corrupted.
still works well when there is only one card ...
and same behaviour with 14.04 nightly.

so I made a fresh install of ubuntu 13.10 amd64 with only one card, installed fglrx-update, then reboot with 2 cards.
and ran ubuntu-bug linux which reported this bug : https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/linux/+bug/1264773
