Bug Description

Currently the presentation is on a white background. I would prefer it to be black. It would be nice if there was a setting for this.

Hello Kevin,

the presentation background color is actually not white but equals the paper color which is editable via the settings dialog. But of course, this is probably not what you are looking for. I am not sure whether the already crowded graphics settings will benefit form another addition, but I'll investigate how one could do it, since I do see use cases for this.

Best regards, Adam.

Thanks, it is often nice to use black around the document because projectors (and screens) will be "off" where the black is, making the projector just display the shape of the page. Unfortunately changing the page color is often not possible because the authors assume that the page color is white, making text/graphics hard to see.

Thanks again for looking into this.

Hello Kevin,

There is now a branch that implements this available at [1]: If the color is set to the empty string (or any other invalid color string), the usual behavior will be used, i.e. the background color will be the paper color. If a valid color is used, e.g. "black", than this is used as the presentation background.

Are you comfortable with building from source and could try out the branch?

Best regards, Adam.

Hell again,

I forgot the link! So here it is:

Sounds good, I'll wait for your (and/or anyone else's) feedback then.

I tried it out and it worked perfectly. I did different page/background combinations and everything worked as expected.

Thanks again for your hard work.

Hello Kevin,

Thanks for giving it a try and nice to know that it seems to work as intended. Merged it into trunk, so it will be part of the next release.

Best regards, Adam.
