ACPI problems or kernel 2.6.10-2-686 problems

Hi I am using a toshiba tecra S1 and seem to have found a small problem after
doing a upgrade.

It seems that the after doing a upgrade of both acpi and the kernel image since
(24th of january to 25th of january) crashed the acpi stuff. The problems I get
is with the batteri status.

this error is repeated all the time in dmesg.

Same for me with 2.6.10-2-686 on a HP/Compaq nc6000. Probably related is the
fact that kacpid starts to eat 99% CPU after a few minutes. dmesg says:
