Bug Description

Multimonitor performance is quite slow stutters with XMir. This does not happen with legacy X or native Mir; both of those are perfectly smooth. It's only XMir that's slow with multiple monitors.

I suspect this is related to XMir's remaining buffer copies... ?

Do you also have this problem when you are using two monitors but one of them is disable (using display settings). Because if so this is the reason xmir is so laggy on my external screen.

XMir 1.0 (the old Xorg extension) is now deprecated and is not being maintained or fixed. It is replaced by the new 'Xmir' binary (package 'xmir') introduced in Ubuntu 15.10 wily.
