Bug Description

Failed testcase.

Expected behavior:
" The icon for the installing application should appear on the Launcher. After hovering the mouse pointer over the installing application icon on the Launcher a "Waiting to install" tooltip should appear" (reference http://packages.qa.ubuntu.com/qatracker/milestones/300/builds/50386/testcases/1398/results)

Produced behavior: Only a flickering 'icon' appeared on the Launcher.

Please see the attached video.

Now what happens if you close Software-center and instead use the apps scope? As I understand it the installer icon is only meant to display when you install from the apps lens as there is no indicator other wise that somthing is happening. I could be wrong though.

Hi there,

Referring to the test case on the testing tracker, I believe an icon is supposed to appear on the Launcher during installation when using Ubuntu Software Center, not just the apps scope.

The icon of the program being installed shows up on the Launcher during installation when I install from the apps scope, but not when using Software Center.
