Scratch assumes any gvfs-mounted location to be read-only, while it's not always the case.

This bug still exists (on Arch), on smb-share. Gedit works without any problems, opening the file in scratch says it is read-only.

Yup.

This is pretty irritating, when one is working on a file-server of some kind, for work, or the like.
Just encountered it.

Scratch opens the filechooser as "local - only".
