Started Gnumeric on Lubuntu 13.10 (Updated Lubuntu 13.04 through update-manager -d), clicked on the link to gnumeric's Website (About dialog), closed the dialog, tried to open Preferences, then crashed...

Y can confirm this also affects Ubuntu 13.10 beta, with Oct 3rd updates.
