window vertical alignment changes after minimized

Bug Description
This has just started today after logging in to ubuntu 12.04.
When I press F12 to enable the drop down of the terminal it started in the top vertical position. I always have it set at the bottom and have done so since first installing. I go in to preferences and notice that it is set to bottom vertical alignment so change it to middle press apply and it moves to the middle I then change to bottom and press apply and it moves to the bottom I then press ok and press F12 to put the terminal away. Now when I press F12 again it returns to the top of the screen and the settings again still show it set to the bottom.
