This would allow us to have a functioning client for Identica in Ubuntu since TTYtter no longer works and pidgin-microblog no longer works. If I need to file a Feature Freeze Exception for Saucy Salamander, I can do so. If this has to wait for T, I can live with that.

That should have read "TTYtter no longer works with Identica" above. pidgin-microblog is broken and is being addressed with the Debian Maintainer through separate action.

In the future, you can use syncpackage with the -e option to file the feature freeze exception at the same time.
