Update rkhunter on Lucid (LTS) to supported version

Are there any possibility to have this package updated to the latest version for LTS?

Since this is a security application mostly used on production servers, it should be on the latest version.

Tha last version is 1.3.8 for 12.04 and there are rarely updates for the application itself, so the list of bugfixes and features are long.

lucid (10.04LTS) currently has version 1.3.6-3ubuntu1, which is no longer updating correctly, as it's too old for upstream: http://sourceforge.net/p/rkhunter/bugs/106/

Ubuntu 12.04 with rkhunter 1.3.8-10 also affected. Due to the nature of the product I actually have to remove this as otherwise I have to audit every server with it installed daily.

It's the boy who cried wolf the software package in it's current form.

There is a 1.4.0 package for Precise in my PPA:

I'm not maintaining that backport anymore because I no longer have any 12.04 machines, but you're welcome to use it, it's not any less maintained than the unmaintained package that's in the official archive for Precise :)
