Digikam crashes when trying face detection option

Every time I choose to scan my collection for faces digikam crashes.
KCrash Handler shows up and I tried to install debug packages to have more complete backtrace but
there is no -dbg packages for
libopencv_objdetect.so.2.4
libopencv_core.so.2.4
libkface.so.2
Version of digikam is 3.3.0 from ppa repo and I'll attach saved backtrace from KCrash Handler
and here are few lines from terminal where digikam was started. Note the "Fatal IO error" line

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Kubuntu better. We are sorry that we do not always have the capacity to look at all reported bugs in a timely manner. There have been many changes in Kubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Kubuntu version. If you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running only once:
apport-collect 1219297

and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
