Bug Description

I searched for similar bugs but have found none. I think this may be related to
the amd64-bug mentionend in the release notes for the hoary install cd. I
installed ubuntu on hde4 (hde1 - /boot, hde2 - ubuntu warty, hde3 - swap)
without any problems, I used hde1 as /boot (which it is in the other ubuntu
install aswell) and everything went smooth. however after rebooting instead of
loading grub the computer just went blank and rebooted. after a bit trial and
error with installing grub again I used an old windows 98 bootdisk to restore
the mdr (fdisk /mbr) and that seemed to be the solution, no more trouble with grub.
I am not sure as to what caused the problem, I think it is because I had another
grub install in /boot before installing hoary.
