Bug Description

A bug in the current Ubuntu 12.04 libyaz version 4.2.18-1build1 causes segmentation faults in simple2zoom (https://metacpan.org/module/MIRK/Net-Z3950-Simple2ZOOM-1.04/bin/simple2zoom) and maybe other programs that use the library.

The libyaz 4.2.18-1build1 is the latest version available through official Ubuntu repositories, but this bug is fixed in newer versions of libyaz, available directly: http://ftp.indexdata.dk/pub/yaz/ubuntu/README. The request here is to add a recent updated version of libyaz to official Ubuntu 12.04 repository.

There is a workaround available and Ubuntu 14.04 has a version that works. "Bug supervisor" please mark this bug as "Won't Fix".
