Bug Description

I tried to install a .deb package, and I kept getting this error message when I am prompt to enter my admin password:
"Incorrect password... try again"

Passsword was correct, i tried it several times, the problem is that there is another service like Ubuntu Software Center installing something else.

I ran
`sudo dpkg -i file.deb`
while still installing this other package,
and i got this message:
dpkg: error: dpkg status database is locked by another process

Message should be changed,
thanks

Package version: gdebi 0.9~exp2
Ubuntu 13.04

I'm unable to reproduce this bug, I correctly receive the "Only one software management tool is allowed to run at the same time" popup window.

Well, it seems like i am not the only one.
I have read negative reviews on ubuntu software center, and they were people complaining about this.
if you google "gdebi wrong password" you will find more.

let's see if someone else is able to reproduce it and spot the bug.

cheers
