Bug Description

Obexftp does not work with my Nokai E70 very well. Version 0.2 was able to open the phone in Nautilus, but looks like version 0.4 doesn't do anything when I click my phone icon in obex://.

Looks like obexftp command line fails too. The phone doesn't allow to connect. Obex push works, so does file system mounting. So this has something do with lower levels.

I don't know whether I have accidentally changed something when I compiled vfs-obexftp 0.4. I installed vfs-obexftp 0.2 from a Feisty package.

I can post hcidump traces if you wish. I can't read them myself.

Hi Mikko,

There were a number of changes between 0.2 and 0.3 to the way the OBEX connection is set up. There was some special code to handle OBEX connections to certain Nokia smartphones, and it is possible that the change broke that (I don't have such a phone to test on).

Could you attach the output of the command "sdptool browse $BDADDR" (where $BDADDR is the Bluetooth address of your phone?

Well now it works. It must have been a temporary condition in my Linux system, since rebooting the computer seems to have solved the issue.

Okay. The obex code runs inside gnome-vfs-daemon, so it is possible that you hadn't restarted it previously. Restarting the whole computer would have achieved this, as would logging out and in.

Changed in gnome-vfs-obexftp:
status: New → Invalid
