Bug Description

We have /var/lib/glance/images on an nfs share served from a netapp filer. Netapp exports have .snapshot directories that are read only, and the chown calls in glance-common's postinst fails on them.

I suggest changing chown -R to find -xdev ...

Cheers,

I can't see any explicit 'chown' call in glance. can you point it out to me? thanks.

No idea whether the bzr branch is the correct one, but the postinst looks like what I expect.

What? That's nonsense - this is a bug in a released version of ubuntu. It's in the debian/ directory and not in the upstream tarball, but that doesn't make the bug invalid.

This fix breaks the image upload on a fresh install of glance from the cloud archive on precise. The images subdir belongs to root and glance-api can't write its data.

Should I report a new bug?

Thanks.
