Bug Description

just did an update to 13.04 from version 12 and now my Philips GoGear Vibe MP3 Player is not properly recoginized. In version 12 the folders were visible and music could be copied to the player. In 13.04 when I select the GoGear, the only icon is for Internal Storage - with no folders listed. Is there a driver that is needed so the player can be recognized? thanks.

Thank you for taking the time to report this bug and helping to make Ubuntu better. It seems that your bug report is not filed about a specific source package though, rather it is just filed against Ubuntu in general. It is important that bug reports be filed about source packages so that people interested in the package can find the bugs about it. You can find some hints about determining what package your bug might be about at https://wiki.ubuntu.com/Bugs/FindRightPackage. You might also ask for help in the #ubuntu-bugs irc channel on Freenode.

To change the source package that this bug is filed about visit https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+bug/1214765/+editstatus and add the package name in the text box next to the word Package.

Why has this problem not been corrected yet ? I have used GoGear with ubuntu for years. Moving files to other computers in order to load on to GoGear is becoming a huge annoyance.

I can confirm that this issue is currently affecting Trusty (64 bits) too. I'm going to open a new report by this weekend. Should I suscribe you to it when I get this done?
