Additional information on this bug,

During the installation kscreen fails to install because it requires libkscreen0 and libkscreen1 is installed.

After chrooting into /target, an apt-cache info shows kscreen to have a dependency on libkscreen0
apt-get install kscreen inside the chroot pulls down libkscreen1 and installs successfully.

Looks like some weird dependency conflict related to the recent move from libkscreen0 to libkscreen1 for kscreen

libkscreen contains
/usr/lib/kde4/plugins/kscreen/*.so
causing file conflicts.

libkscreen1 needs a replaces/conflcits/breaks/... on libkscreen0.
