I cannot login to Ubuntu Forums via Launchpad account !

Hello,

I have not been able to login at ubuntuforums since it was hacked.

The new login information does not say how to login with the launchpad account that I already have:

It does not explain the difference between the launchpad open-id account and the ubuntu-one open-id account.
Can't I use the same launchpad open-id account to log into ubuntu-one and ubuntuforums?

This is not a bug. You cannot login via Launchpad the way you could prior to the forum upgrade in February. The way to log into Ubuntuforums is via Ubuntu One, which is "the single account you use to log in to all services and sites related to Ubuntu."

If you don't have an Ubuntu One SSO account, go to https://login.ubuntu.com/ and create one, as advised early on in the sticky you link to. Please be sure to set your preferred email in Ubuntu One to match your forum account, otherwise the system will create a new forum account.

Launchpad is not related to Ubuntu?
I cannot use the launchpad open Id account to log into the SSO account or vice versa?

In any case, the announcement is faulty because incomplete. We used to be able to use the launchpad account but we cannot anymore, so the announcement should be completed to that effect.

Forget Launchpad as far as logging into the forums. The login facility via Launchpad that was an option prior to February 2013 was unsatisfactory from a software maintenance point of view, and Canonical IS had long planned to replace this with Ubuntu One SSO login.

The sticky title is "Login now by means of Ubuntu One SSO only". For the benefit of those who do not find it clear that this means that it does not Launchpad, I have added a sentence to the first paragraph of the text of the sticky as follows: "Neither can you login from your Launchpad account, which was an option prior to a major upgrade to the forum software in February 2013."
