vmware documentation needed: use of VMDK working types with OpenStack

VMware's VMDK formats have two dimenions: thick vs thin and sparse vs flat. Not to mention SCSI versus IDE. These need to be documented in combination and explained so that users will understand what is happening to their images, when, and why they can fail.

This issue should be documented to prevent invalid/erroneous bug reports and general confusion.

Andy, yes, it was my guess that a note could be added into the image guide.

Of course, the config-reference vmware section could be another good place
