Bug Description
On a fresh install of Kubuntu 12.04.2 I found that the program "kvkbd" doesn't show the keyboard by default.
Then I saw the file kvkbdrc in ~/.kde/share/config and It had a geometry like this:
KvkbdFont=
extentVisible=true
geometry=
locked=false
showdock=false
visible=true
[Notification Messages]
systemtrayquitK
I have changed the geometry to 10, 10,689,235, then the file is left like this;
KvkbdFont=
extentVisible=true
geometry=
locked=false
showdock=false
visible=true
[Notification Messages]
systemtrayquitK
What I changed was the XY coordinates in screen of the keyboard and vuala! A virtual keyboard in screen.
I reported back time this problem in kde.org, but they dismissed me, because the problem is with you... Ubuntu packaging; https:/
I never had the problem with Debian, OpenSuse, Fedora... using the same program and installing the packages from their own repositories.
So why by default, on a fresh install the geometry of kvkdb is out the boundaries of the screen?
