Search box auto-fill not making sense..?

The search box in 12.3 isn't returning good results for auto-fill.

in 12.1 when I type
"A" I get autofill "Acamar, Adrastea, Almalthea, Ananke, Ariel, A Boo"
"M" I get autofill "Makemake, Mars, Metis, Mimas, Miranda"
"M3" I get autofill "M3, M30, M31"
..and everything seems to work right..

In 12.3 when I type
"A" I get autofill "Haumea, Makemake, Sedna, Solar System Observer, Varuna"
"M" I get autofill "Halimede, Haumea, Hydra (moon), Makemake, Solar System Observer"
"M3" I get autofill "M3"
"L" I get autofill "Galatea, Halimede, Pluto, Solar System Observer, Thalassa"

I suppose the search & autofill is looking for any occurrence of the string. I could get used to that, but I think most people (and myself) would expect it to operate the old way. I would also expect more results for "M", even 12.1 could have offered more choices.

Perhaps simply showing more results would be sufficient. Yes. And it would show names you might have not thought of if doing virtual stargazing. So perhaps leave it as is in 12.3, but return more results?

It's a joke? Many people asked us about search not only from start of words and we implemented that. Now needs the old behaviour. OK, I add both variants of search and option for choosing of it.
