[needs-packaging] kxstitch needs packaging for newer Ubuntu releases

I just succeed in building http://sourceforge.net/projects/kxstitch/files/kxstitch/0.9.2/kxstitch-0.9.2-KDE4.tar.gz/download after just installing these packages (and their dependencies) kdelibs-bin kdelibs5-dev libmagick++-dev
on Precise. I imagine you'd want to package it for a newer release.

It looks like it might also be useful to do http://sourceforge.net/projects/kxstitch/files/SymbolEditor/1.0.0/SymbolEditor-1.0.0-KDE4.tar.gz/download with it.

First, check that no-one in debian had already packaged it or is planning to packages.debian.org and wnpp.debian.org
Then make sure your packaging is as close to lintian clean as possible. After that, it will be ready for debian and ubuntu.

The package was removed from debian, if you're willing to maintain it following the info at http://www.debian.org/doc/manuals/maint-guide/ it can be re-added to debian (and therefore ubuntu)

It looks like kxstitch has been repackaged and re-introduced in Ubuntu. It has been available again since 17.04 (https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kxstitch/+publishinghistory).
