Hi Tom,

Sounds a powerful system and we have OR running on x64 and Win8, so should be able to sort you out.

However we're going to need a bit more information.

How far did you get in starting up? Look on your Desktop for the file OpenRailsLog.txt. If OR got as far as creating that file, then please upload that here.

Also, have you had this standard scenario running using MSTS yet?

When I start Marias-Pass or Northeast-Corridor (MSTS-Original) in explorer-Route, I get this error.

Now I have seen:
I did not select any "starting at" or "heading to" in the startmenu.
When I select this there are no problems.

Glad you have sorted it out. Perhaps we could pop up an error message to give some advice.

I will mark this report as "invalid" which just means that there is no bug to be fixed.

Hope you enjoy Open Rails,

Chris

Fixed in X.1698 by hiding paths marked as "not player" in TrPathFlags (0x20).

The fatal error resist in X1705. Now
starting at:
and
Heading to:
are not empty, in the Window is written, as example <unnamed: aftstrm (traffic03)>
instead that this activity is hidden completely

The code hides non-player paths according to TrPathFlags, but this path does not set itself as a non-player path - therefore is appears. It is unclear why MSTS would not show this path so there is little we can currently do here that we haven't already done.

This Path
aftstrm (traffic03).pat
is also not to show in the Window "Service-Editor" (Dienst-Editor in german) of MSTS-Activity-editor!!!
If I fill in two dummy-Names in the File for
TrPathStart ( )
TrPathEnd ( )
with the Windows-Editor, the path will be shown and I can open it.
It is a broken path !!!
So this path seems to be for nothing!!!

Yeah, I know MSTS doesn't want to show this path but it isn't clear whether that is because it has changed the path or just gone by both start and end being empty. We could do the latter in OR but the former would be quite complicated and IMHO not worth it.
