wicd curses encryption selection unnecessarily difficult

Bug Description

I've been using wicd through the curses interface for a while now and I've found that the interface for choosing the encryption type is really user-unfriendly. First of all, I have to manually select which type of encryption I want. This seems silly to me since the encryption type recognized by the network is displayed in the Encryption column on the main screen, so wicd clearly knows which encryption type should be used. Second of all, when I do select the encryption type, enter in a password, save using F10, and then go back to the network settings screen, the encryption type is set back to WPA 1/2 (Hex). I have to go back down the list of encryption types to the one I chose before, and only then do I see the password I typed in previously. So not only do I have to figure out the encryption type in the beginning, I also have to remember it or figure it out again if I need to change the password. I feel this is really very unnecessary. I know that wicd is meant to be more configurable than other network managers, but that doesn't mean we can't choose some sane default behavior. I recommend making the following changes.

1. When the user goes to the setting page for a new network, set the encryption type selector to the one that was auto-detected. Or at least highlight the recommended type in the list.
2. When the user saves the network configuration, save the encryption type that they were on and go back to that encryption type when they revisit the settings menu.

This doesn't just affect the curses. The gtk gui suffers from the same thing.
It shows that the encryption type is WEP but doesn't autoselect it when you click on connect
so you just get an "error - invalid password" and it's very confusing if you aren't paying attention.
