Closing calculator window takes a few seconds

Clicking on the X in the upper left corner of the GUI window has no immediate effect.

After a delay of a few seconds, the window finally closes.

This is reproducible and annoying.

This bug is still unresolved as a quick test will confirm.

Ubuntu 14.04 LTS running kernel 3.13.0-63-generic.

Still in 15.10. High I/O load is audible between trying to close the window and the program actually terminating.
