Bug Description

This may be a wee bit too much to ask, but might a Qt port ever possibly be in the works? I'd like to be able to run gufw in KDE without soiling the system with GTK libs :)

Hi! :) Yes, I tried it a few weeks ago, but I'm releasing the last version and it's taking a lot my spare time :S

With the current version (13.10) all the work will be to rewrite a view (35%~40% of Gufw). I haven't time now for learning pyQT and do it :( Maybe in a future.

Best regards and thanks for your proposal and I'm so sorry.

No problem. I did understand the chances of it happening were slim, but I thought it was worth a chance. Do you mean to say that there will beno further releases after 13.10? Also, if someone stepped up to actually write a qt port, would you take their patches?

HI Alves :)
Current Gufw's UI will not change in the next releases. If someone would like to write a QT port in pyQT, I think I could to maintain it in the future releases. As I said, it's just to rewrite the 'view' folder with pyQT :) Make the UI and send the events to the 'frontend.py'.
Please, if someone wll start it, tell me for coordinating it.
In other way, maybe I'll try to do again in a year, but this isn't a promise.
Best regards!! :)

I liked the idea, I could try to port the view to pyQT (no promises, I'm still learning python)

No plan for Gufw. Maybe in the future, then I would reopen it.
