Can't add songs to iPod

When I drag and drop a song to my iPod, the song seems to be added in the iPod library but when I disconnect the iPod, then connect it again, the song is not in the library anymore.
It does not display any error in the terminal either.

I think it is a fourth generation iPod Nano (https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File:Nano4g.jpg) with the latest firmware (1.2 ?).

There have been many changes in Ubuntu since that time you reported the bug and your problem may have been fixed with some of the updates. It would help us a lot if you could test it on a currently supported Ubuntu version. When you test it and it is still an issue, kindly upload the updated logs by running apport-collect 1207027 and any other logs that are relevant for this particular issue.
