Bug Description

In the 2nd empire tutorial/campaign mission, the game crashes (closes without message) upon occupation of the first military building

I don't know if it's relevant, but construction of the barracks began before forester (but after 3 woodcutters, sawmill, quarry). Delayed completion of barracks (via removal of path) in favor of forester resulted in same behavior. Destruction of barracks before construction complete and building a sentry and accelerating to 71x speed resulted in a crash immediately after the popup for discovering mountains in the east (i.e. a few instructions after occupation and the prior crashes).

I previously completed this mission in trunk 16 on ubuntu. This attempt was made on Windows XP 32 bit bzr6663.

I can build and occupy barracks without a problem in the branch linked to the bug duplicate, so this is likely to be fixed when the branch is merged. Thanks for reporting.

Thanks for reporting this, MP. Really nice catch. :)

This is not a duplicate of bug 1205010, and it is still reproducible with the branch linked there.

The issue here is that this is a campaign map, and building the military building is an objective. Completing it will trigger a new objective, but with the autosaving recently added, it attempt to save before displaying the new dialog. Thus, this is in fact a duplicate of bug 1203329. I'll add a comment there.
