system-config-lvm crash -- broken pipe?

Bug Description
on a fresh installed mint 15 cinamon i installed system-config-lvm from ubuntu (twice and on two computers). i have reliably the crash with the following report (when running in a terminal to see what is going on).
please fix - it is a show stopper! (i go back to ubuntu - sorry, next year i will try again)
