Show desktop doesn't behave correctly

Bug Description
I have app A and B opened. I use show desktop. Then, I show app A using launcher and then I use show desktop again. It should do what show desktop does in every other DE in the world - hide app A. However, Unity's show desktop shows app B.
The behaviour should be intuitive and consistent with what people know from example from GNOME2, LXDE, XFCE, KDE or Windows.

What version of Ubuntu are you using? The expected behavior you describe works in 13.10.
