Bug Description
Binary package hint: ubuntu-desktop
MANY laptops use touchpads that are handled by the Synaptics driver. These touchpads have many advanced functions such as scrolling, tapping, and so on. However, there is currently no way to change any of these settings without editing the xorg.conf file. Could Ubuntu consider adding gsynaptics to the install in a future release?
