Bug Description

Running: "sudo apt-get build-dep gnome-disk-utility" does not install the "gnome-settings-daemon-dev" or "liblzma-dev" packages, which are both required for building "gnome-disk-utility" from source.

This bug was found on Ubuntu 13.10, x86

I found it by running ./configure, after cloning the source code from the git repo, which displayed the error message.

apt-get build-dep installs all the packages needed for building the package as configured on Ubuntu.

For 13.10 the current version in Ubuntu is 3.6.1. The gnome-settings-daemon dependency was only added in 3.8 and the lzma dependency is in master (future 3.10). You'll just need to install those dependencies manually.

Changed in gnome-disk-utility (Ubuntu):
status: New → Invalid

Thanks for the quick response. I'm new to this, and had been under the impression that this should be reported as a bug, based on a conversation in IRC.

I apologize for the inconvenience,
Moshe
