Screencast video length is abnormal!

Bug Description
I am using the unstable Kazam version on Xubuntu 12.10. I would like to point out two things:
1. This often sometimes. If you pause the video for more than two times, the app just freezes and you cannot save or stop the recording. You have to kill it.
2. If I pause a lot of times, the final sreencast video length is reported to be 12 hours+ (it is just less that 1 min in reality) while playing it in VLC player. As a result the video cannot be imported or used with Kdenlive.
