search lens disappeared when hitting any key on OSK

recent touch images expose this problem.

Reproduce:
 1. go to app desktop
 2. hit search
 3. hit any key on keyboard

Result:
 1. OSK keyboard and search lens disappear

expected:
 1. i can type and find apps...

My best guess is that the new maliit framework OSK doesn't report its dimensions to the shell via the platform api.

the dimensions are correct, but I found an issue with the new platforminputcontextplugin with show/hide.
Is the shell/search lens calling show/hide explicitly on the osk?

so i was told OSK is reguarly broken. Are there any plans to add autopilot tests for this? Can we please ensure that the fix also lands a regression autopilot test? Otherwise, please tell me when you close this bug :)

OSK is not regularly broken and has been quite stable for a while now. There are plans to add autopilot tests to maliit but have been issues with the interaction of autopilot and maliit-server for some time now which have prevented it from working. I believe these problems have been resolved/worked around which means autopilot tests for maliit will be coming soon.
