I attached a screenshot of the error message. This happened on two totally different computers during upgrade.

Smart-notifier had the same issue, I will add another attachment for that.

I attached the logs from one of the machines. Will do the same for the other machine tonight.

First update after upgrade from 9.04 to 9.10 (upgrade was offline using alt disk)

dist-upgrade-logs.tar.gz is not useful (nothing matches 'smart'), dist-upgrade-2.tar.gz isn't either:
