Bug Description
Binary package hint: gnome-panel
Menu bar jumped 90 degrees to right side of screen after loading gnome-ppp application with synaptic.
Is this an option normally available through short cut keys?
Cannot think of anything else relevant.

Immediate problem resolved; found right click on panel provided option
to restore menu bar to top of screen. Also computer shut down for no
apparent reason. The latter may relate to the former. Thanks for the
interest.
