This issue was reported multiple times for python-xapian (though as I noted in https:/ /bugs.launchpad .net/ubuntu/ +source/ xapian- bindings/ +bug/1075632/ comments/ 2 it doesn't seem specific to python-xapian) but there are no reports against python3-xapian, so I'm closing as fixed by the removed of python-xapian (as part of the Python2 purge).
