Bug Description
I've been having lots of trouble with lirc since upgrading to 13.04. When the system boots, lirc seems to freeze and also blocks other daemons like LCDd and a few other from running. When I try to remove lirc it freezes the process. I found that trying to stop the lirc service also causes a freeze. I found a workaround where I could remove the stop command from the /var/lib/
