Bug Description

I face the bug described here on ubuntu precise: http://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugreport.cgi?bug=695221

In short, I cannot set an IP address with a subnet mask different than 255.255.255.0 or /24 using xe pif-reconfigure-ip. I want/have to use a /23.

The bug has been fixed in debian, so please consider syncing on Ubuntu Precise.

Hi,

Could we please avoid to have another bug report? This has been fixed in Debian, there's no need to discuss it in Launchpad when this has been discussed and fixed in bugs.debian.org. This is a waste of time. If there's a bug to fill, it is only to sync from Debian, IMO.

The bug still is a valid bug as it exists in Ubuntu precise, and that's what I reported.
As you said, there is no need to discuss the bug fix here as well, but a possible sync from Debian.

Hi,
In that case IMO, you should open a bug for the package to be synced from Debian, and report all the bugs that it fixes. That would be more productive than sending the bugfix from upstream git.
