No graphical way to edit grub menu.list (GRUB) or grub.cfg (GRUB 2)

Bug Description

After installing Ubuntu, I did not find any way of editing the grub menu.list (in GRUB 2 grub.cfg) in a graphical way.

In the spirit of Ubuntu, we should be able to change the default boot entries in a graphical, user friendly way.

That's not a problem for me, because I know the menu.lst file, but it can be a problem for "regular" users.

Thanks for your report. Your idea might get more attention and have the possibility of being implemented if you submit a specification for it. First check whether the idea is already registered <https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+specs>, and if so, contact the specification's drafter about your ideas. Otherwise, you can start writing a spec yourself. <https://wiki.ubuntu.com/FeatureSpecifications>

This is quite an old bug, but it still stands: there is no way of editing the grub entries (with grub2 not the grub.cfg directly) graphically. It would be nice to have an UI to set the entry names, whether to show the kernel version or not, to show recovery versions or not...

Now Ubuntu uses GRUB 2 but I think it's still a good idea!
