On OpenERP 7.0,

Create a new database and install the address_book module.
Enable Multi-companies and Technical Features for admin user.
Create a second company (Company B)
Create a demo user with Contact creation right and assign it to Company B.
Log in as demo and try to create a new customer.

When I save, I get:
Access Denied

The requested operation cannot be completed due to security restrictions. Please contact your system administrator.

(Document type: Partner, Operation: read)

As admin, disable the multi-company rule on res.partner.
As demo, try to create a new customer.
It works.
