Hi anubhav265

Looking at the top of your page you seem to have an error being reported by the system. I would guess at that being the cause of the issue.

A few things you can try:

1. Open a terminal and type sudo apt-get update see if that gives you any errors
2. In the same terminal type sudo apt-get upgrade see if that gives you any errors

The other things you can do to help us is:
1 Open a nautilus (file manager) copy /etc/apt/sources.list to you home dir
2. Right click on it in your home dir and select properties
3. Make it read write for you and others
4. Add it to this bug by clicking on the add attachment or patch.

Many thanks

I think what is happening here is the system is running update manager finding an error so update manager or the apt warning is holding on to the archive. This means that software-center can't use it.

1. Open a terminal and do the following please. ps aux > psaux.txt then add the txt file to this bug like you did with the screenshot above please
2. Do sudo gedit /etc/apt/sources.list and then save as sourcescopy.list in your home dir and upload that too please.

Did you have any apps fail to install?
