configuring DNS servers manually does not work

Bug Description
OS debian 7.0
L2TP IPsec VPN Manager 1.0.9
When I choose NOT to obtain the DNS server addresses automatically, the dns address are not learned by the system
when the VPN is up. The /etc/resolv.conf file is not updated.
note: adding manual routes is working fine.
