Bug Description

... firefox crashed

... Firefox crashes randomly

I'm using Firefox 2.0.0.4 and it crashes without any apparent reason.
I tried running it through Terminal and after it crashed it gave me a message: "The application 'Gecko' lost its connection to the display :0.0;
most likely the X server was shut down or you killed/destroyed
the application." but I don't know what it means.

Thank you Brushy for submitting this report.

Could you please try to obtain a backtrace by following the instructions on
[1], or upload the crash report that probably was generated during the crash
and that should be located at /var/crash/ to [2].

Please indicate which extensions/plugins do you have enabled; and if this crash
is reproducible describe the steps that lead to it (it is very important for us
to have a test case for each crash).

This will greatly aid us in tracking down your problem.

Thanks in advance.

H. Montoliu

Plugins I'm using are flashplugin-nonfree and sun-java6-plugin.
And I don't know how to reproduce the crash on purpose, it seems to crash randomly.
I attached the crash report to this comment.

Thank you Brushy for your feedback.

The crash seems that was caused by adobe's flash plugin which we can do anything about it, since it is closed source. You might want to report it upstream directly.

However, it will be very useful to have a testcase so we can check if this bug gets fixed in future versions, so if you ever manage to reproduce it, please report it.

Thank you in advance.

Okay, thanks for help :)
And what exactly should I do when Firefox crashes again? Repost the crash report?

Yes, open a *new* crash report, It might be the same incident or it might be not. But please, when reporting it, please indicate when possible, the steps to reproduce it.

Thank you Brushy in advance.

Okay, here's the new crash report.

Firefox seemed to crash when Flash applet was active, I was browsing Screwattack.com and watching Flash-videos there when it crashed last time.
