Notification area crashed somehow and now I can't get it working again

Bug Description

Binary package hint: gnome-panel

I didn't do anything special when, I think it was the whole gnome-panel, crashed and when it came back up notification area didn't work.
It is there, I can add it and all that, but none of the applet icons appear there.
